It is with sadness we share that Rev. Dr. Dorothy May Emerson passed away yesterday. Dorothy was beloved in her community. Her life and works touched many. Dorothy played a pivotal role in Unitarian Universalist Women & Religion and UU Class Conversations. Her published works span genres from social justice to women’s studies and women’s rituals to her memoir published just last year. Dorothy was a force to be reckoned with. She has left an indelible mark on our UU Faith Tradition, and in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her.
We offer sincere condolences to her family and friends. Dorothy, may you Rest in Peace, and Rest in Power.
